Google Nexus 5 has only been released in November 2013. But there are rumors that the next Nexus device set to be rolled out later this year.
Initial reports claimed the next-generation Nexus device will be developed by LG (based on LG G3), expected to be launched by the end of May. But a new report suggested the Google Nexus 6 will be manufactured by HTC.
Tech Web site My Gadgetic (via Phonearena) said the new Nexus 6 will come with a 5.7-inch Super LCD 4 display with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution and not the 5.2-inch display as reported earlier. The concept image showed very thin bezels and the exterior will be a poly-carbonate body. The next Nexus device will house boom sound speakers.
Nexus 6 will likely be powered by Qualcomm's latest 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor and house a solid 3 GB RAM.
Google Nexus 6 will run on the next Android v4.5 Lollipop, which is expected to be announced this summer.
Nexus 6 is expected to have 16 GB and 32 GB of internal storage options. Also, the company might offer a 64 GB variant.
The camera specifications include a 12 MP rear-facing camera unit with dual tone LED flash and a 5 MP camera unit facing the front. Also, it supports optical image stabilization.
The upcoming Nexus device will sport a 3,200 mAh battery and rumored to be dust- and water-resistant.
Nexus 6 is expected to be released in the second half of this year, most probably by end of October 2014, according to Google's Sundar Pichai. To view the concept image and video - Click here.
