It is quite a routine that iOS updates usually come with a new iPhone hardware. If rumors were true, iOS 8 will be accompanied by the announcement of iPhone 6. Notably, the look of the upcoming iOS 8 will not be any different from that of iOS 7. The new update will bring a number of new features and fixes to iPhones and iPads.

The notifications in iPhones are quite clumsy owing there are two different notifications panel. Also, getting rid of old notifications is a two-tap process that gives a very exhaustive list of overlooked notifications on the "All panel." Google's "mobile notifications" with Android operating system is by far the best out of all the mobile operating systems. It provides only a single panel of notifications and supports expanded views to get the quick look of notification details. If rumors were true, Apple might kill the second notification panel entirely.
Expand the TouchID Functionality
According to recent reports, the TouchID (a.k.a fingerprint scanner) feature of iPhone 5S will be introduced to the upcoming iPads like iPad Mini and iPad Air, along with the iPhone 6 expected to be released this fall. Apple's TouchID is going to be part of more Apple devices and it is only natural that Apple expands the functionality of TouchID to do more than logging the user without a pass-code.
With the current TouchID, users can unlock the iPhone and even make purchases in the iTunes Store. Note that pass-code is still required at some point. As Gotta be mobile puts it, "It's time to remove the pass code needed feature for TouchID, especially for purchases. Either TouchID is secure enough to use for purchases or it's not."
The site also suggested it is a good idea to use TouchID with other apps that require a password to log-in. Also, password managers should be equipped to do the job of logging the user in with a fingerprint instead of a password.
Apple users know for sure that the company does not allow its users to install third-party keyboards. Although Apple tweaked the keyboard with iOS 7, it is still not up to the mark. It is time Apple let the users know when the "shift key" is on. The problem with "shift key" is only an example, but third-party integration would bring the required flexibility if Apple relaxes the rule. But if iPhone users need a new keyboard, they have to use a dedicated app to type with that keyboard of their choice and then copy the content to another app.
Unambiguous Passcode Recovery
The most common question that Apple users constantly look for answers by searching online is, "How to reset an iPhone, iPad or iPod's pass code?" Although users can backup and restore the iPhone or iPad to remove the pass code, this is an annoying and redundant process, especially when the device is activation locked to an Apple ID. In OS X 10.7 and higher versions of the software, users can reset the administrator password using an Apple ID. As Gotta Be Mobile suggested, Apple could add a similar alternative to iOS 8 that would help users to reset the pass-code on their locked devices.
