Metallic hue ruled the red carpet at MET Gala 2014. Two of the beauties who brought the best of the metallic look were Kristen Stewart and Brie Larson.

Larson donned a golden Prada dress accentuated with glitter. The top of the dress had a hint of blue, whereas the flared bottom was all golden. To add an extra edge to her look, Larson tied her hair in a topknot, but kept her make-up minimal. She coupled her look with yellow gold and white diamond Gaydamak hand bracelet and rings from designer Marina B. Larson and her look was akin to punk look of  the1970's .

She indeed stood out at the fashion event, which was held at Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute.

However, her look was not appreciated by all.

"How totally embarrassing for Brie Larson who showed up to the Met Gala in this overly golden getup. In fact, she looks more in line with 2013's punk theme!" wrote celebrity blogger Perez Hilton

Styled by Tara Swennen, Stewart was seen wearing a silver, black and gold attire. She kept her flaming red hair braided in a feminine fishtail braid.

With the black Chanel dress Stewart opted for black metallic eye shadow and light make-up.

Here are some of the Twitter reaction on Stewart and Larson punk fashion sense:

‏@journeyfanfic: "There was no better hair, on the Met red carpet, than the red fishtail worn by Kristen Stewart"

@AthousandFeelsa: "little rock n roll. #KristenStewart at #MetGala2014 pic.twitter.com/Ci3VGQ63JJ"
