Ajith's 25th film "Amarkalam" will be re-released on 1 May. The mass entertainer is one of most-important films in the actor's career as it gave him the image of a mass action hero. The film, directed by Saran, has been digitally-restored and will be hitting the screens on May Day.

Ajith fans can also see special shows of the actor's 50th film "Mankatha" in some theatres. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, "Mankatha" had Ajith in a character with shades of grey. The actor won accolades from all quarters for his fantastic performance in the action thriller flick and it turned out to be a big hit in 2011.

On the occasion of his birthday, Thala will not only be seen on the big screen, but will also be dominating the small screens. Two popular TV channels will be screening Ajith's latest hit films on 1 May.

The actor's 2013-Diwali release "Arrambam" will be premiered on Jaya TV, while his 2014-Pongal release "Veeram" will be screened on Sun TV. Both these films achieved grand success at the box office. While "Arrambam" had Ajith in a stylish look, the actor appeared in a rural avatar in "Veeram".

"Arrambam," directed by Vishnu Vardhan, is action thriller flick with Ajith appearing in the role of a former bomb disposal specialist, who is on a mission to expose the scam regarding faulty bullet proof jackets. The film has Nayanthara, Arya, Mahesh Manjrekar and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles.

On the other hand, "Veeram" is mass masala entertainer and the film's story revolves around Ajith and his five brothers played by Bala, Vidarth, Munish and suhail. The film, directed by "Siruthai" Siva, has Tamannaah, Santhanam, Nassar and Pradeep Rawat in supporting roles.
