Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 with Built-in Projector Launched

Smartphone leader, Samsung has officially launched second-generation Galaxy Beam with built-in projector.

Samsung's new projector phone is the successor of Galaxy Beam, which was launched way back in July 2012. It comes with a lot of enhancements such as metallic body finish, bigger display and faster CPU.

Galaxy Beam 2 sports 4.66-inch WVGA (480x800p) display and runs on the v4.4 Jelly Bean OS powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It also boasts of 5.0-megapixel main camera, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) camera on the front and a 2,600 mAh sumptuous enough to meet the energy requirement of mini-projector fitted inside the phone.

Samsung phone's marquee feature - mini-projector comes with background color correction functionality, and loads of applications such as Notepad, Mappers, Environment modeling, Flash lights and more to enrich user-experience while streaming movies, sports event or play games.

As of now, Galaxy Beam 2 has been launched in China, however the details regarding device's price and availability in other global markets is still under wraps.

Since the 2012 model Galaxy Beam made its debut in India, one can expect the phone's successor to set foot in the subcontinent market soon.
