Director Vijay-Amala Paul Marriage Confirmed

Recently, there were reports that "Thalaivaa" director Vijay and actress Amala Paul are seeing each other and are set to get married soon. The couple neither confirmed nor refuted the reports. However, Amala released a press statement stating, "I wish to announce to my media friends about my future plans with Director Vijay once he arrives from his trip abroad. Until then, I request the media friends to wait for authenticated reports on me, Director Vijay and our future."

Director Vijay has reportedly returned to India and the buzz surrounding their wedding has gained momentum. Reports have emerged that the couple has fixed their engagement and wedding dates. Apparently, they will be getting engaged on 7 June in Cochin and their marriage will take place in Chennai on 12 June.

An official announcement from the couple is expected soon.

Sudeep-Sridevi Confirmed for "Vijay 58"

Kannada actor Sudeep of "Naan Ee" fame has confirmed his presence in Vijay-Chimbu Devan's new film. "Vijay 58" (tentatively titled by fans) is expected to go on floors in September after ilayathalapathy completes his current project "Kaththi."

Earlier, Sudeep had revealed that he might star in "Vijay 58," but now the actor has confirmed that he is indeed a part of the project.

It seems that the actor took some time to agree on this project. "I got a lot of offers after "Naan Ee," but since I had an expectation to meet, I didn't want to hurry up on my next film. Chimbudevan approached me with the script about two months back. However, I was held up with my Kannada project. But what really impressed me with this team is that they waited for me and didn't look for someone else, which shows that they had me in mind for the role," Sudeep told the Times of India.

The actor has also confirmed Sridevi's presence in the film, which is touted to be an adventure, fantasy entertainer.

It will reportedly produced by Vijay's PRO PT Selvakumar and Shibu of Thameens films.

Vivek Not Doing "Anjaan"

Earlier, there was a buzz that actor-comedian Vivek will be working in Suriya's "Anjaan." Later, reports emerged that Soori has been roped in for the film. It was not clear whether Vivek is also part of the Suriya starrer.

Now, the actor himself has confirmed that he is not doing "Anjaan" due to date issues. The actor has told Deccan Chronicle that he regrets missing "Anjaan" as his dates clashed with "Vai Raja Vai," in which he plays an important role.

Although the actor might have missed working in "Anjaan," he has grabbed another big roject. The "Singam 2" actor will be seen sharing screen space with Ajith in his upcoming "Thala 55" project.

Vikram-Shankar's "Ai" Audio Launch

There are reports that the audio of "Ai" will be hitting stores in mid-May. The Vikram-Amy Jackson starrer is one of the most awaited films of 2014.

The film's music is composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman. The composer has handed the master copy to Sony Music India, which holds the audio rights of the film, reported Times of India.

There has been a buzz that the audio launch will be a grand affair with the presence of a popular Hollywood celebrity.

An official word regarding the audio release date is still awaited.

"Ai" is expected to hit the screens in July this year.
