Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fire brand leader and former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti has reiterated that when the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) comes to power at the Centre, she will send Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, to jail. Vadra has married Priyanka Gandhi, daughter of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Bharti and the party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi have been attacking Vadra for his alleged amassed of properties worth more than Rs 300 crore.

Bharti said this in Jhansi of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. She added that Vadra has amassed money by breaking all the legal norms. Bharti said: "Just because he is the son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi, all the Congress ruled state governments are afraid of him. Union Ministers were also under pressure from him. He has made money by breaking all the norms," PTI quoted her.

Despite BJP's revealed stand that it would not go for a witch-hunt if it forms the next government at the Centre, Bharti made the statement. "Although my party gets annoyed with me, when the power will be in my hand, I will send 'jamaibabu' to jail," Bharti said.

Even last week also she had said that Vadra has been involved in several falsehood cases.

However, Congress has dared BJP to file a police case against Vadra. Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has made the challenge and asked BJP's leaders like Arun Jaitley to file a police case against Vadra.

In the backdrop of an article in the Wall Street Journal recently, Narendra Modi has intensified attacks on Vadra and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and her son and party's vice-president Rahul Gandhi. The article says that without much experience in property development, Vadra has amassed vast properties in real estate business during the last decade, since Congress-led UPA coalistion came to power.

On Sunday, Modi had said that a class tenth passed youth (Vadra) had just Rs 1 lakh in his pocket a decaded ago. Now he has earned Rs 300 crore worth properties, Modi said in Sarguja rally in Chhattisgarh on Sunday.
