Andre Johnson, a Los Angeles rapper, is now in double pain and likely super embarrassed as well. On Wednesday, he first severed his penis and then attempted suicide by jumping from the second floor an apartment building in North Hollywood (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvZ_qH32Ga0).

A wounded man is rushed to a hospital after a suicide attack in Jalalabad May 18, 2011. A suicide bomber killed 13 people and wounded at least 20 in an attack on a minibus carrying police cadets in the main city in Afghanistan's east on Wednesday, a government spokesman said.

But it seems he has nine lives because he survived the leap and is undergoing treatment at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, although he is seriously injured. Los Angeles police found his penis along with his injured body and also brought the amputated genital to the hospital.

Mr Johnson's stage name is Christ Bearer and is a member of the duo Northstar, a Long Beach hip hop group. Northstar was once included in the Wu-Tang clan.

Northstar's Web page said Mr Johnson was discovered in 1998 outside an LA radio station.  Prior to his suicide try, he posted on Tuesday in Twitter and Facebook links to his new music video with another rapper, Rugged Monk.

LAPD St William Mann said the incident happened at early morning since Mr Johnson was discovered at 12:45 am of Wednesday. He said it is still unclear what caused the rapper's twin actions.

Mr Mann did not indicate if the doctors were able to reattach Mr Johnson's severed penis.
