In what probably is the most screwed up in the history of corporate social media ever, U.S. Airways tweeted a photo of a toy airplane inserted in a woman’s vagina in response to a complainant.

Yes, you heard that right. It’s an airplane inserted inside a woman’s vagina. And it’s very NSFW.

Click here for the NSFW photo.

It all started with a client complaining about the airline’s services. The client complained that her plane was over an hour late, which the airline replied with an apology.

“@USAirways Unhappy that 1787 sat for an hour on tarmac in CLT because overweight, resulting in over hour late in PDX...” passenger @ElleRafter wrote.

“@ellerafter We truly dislike delays too and are very sorry your flight was affected,” U.S. Airways replied.

But @ellerafter wasn’t satisfied with the airline’s apologetic but evasive reply, tweeting, “@USAirways yeah, you seem so very sorry. So sorry, in fact, that you couldn’t be bothered to address my other tweets.”

The airline then tweeted back a passive aggressive reply that included the offensive photo.

“@ellerafter We welcome feedback, Elle. If your travel is complete, you can detail it here for review and follow-up:”

The airline has since deleted and apologised for the photo.

Once it’s online, though, it will be there forever. The pornographic picture became viral online before the airline was able to delete it. According to its Twitter followers, the image was up for an hour before it was taken down.
