Google has not yet revealed the release date of its flagship smartphone Nexus 6 but numerous reports have surfaced, with some expecting the device to arrive as early as June, while others say it would happen only in November.

It is reported that the device would be unveiled after Google's I/O Developers Conference on 25 and 26 June in San Francisco, condradicting Google's VP Sundar Pichai's view during the Mobile World Congress 2014 (MWC 2014) that the device would be announced only in October.

Meanwhile, Twitter leaker @evleaks has given a hint in one of its posts that the device would arrive sooner than expected, though no details, including the specifications and availability, were given.

Google has been keeping mum on the features of its upcoming device but reports on the same keep surfacing on the net. It was earlier reported that Nexus 6 would have a 13MP camera (main) and a 5MP front camera but a report by Tech Cocktail claims it will feature a 20MP camera with HDR mode and other stunning graphics.

Nexus 6 is likely to be water-proof and have a 3200+ mAh battery, which may solve battery woes faced by users of earlier devices, according to Tech Cocktail. It added that the device will also have a feature that will let users have access to Google content like movies, videos, games, etc. on their TVs.

Earlier reports had suggested that the device would sport a 5.2-inch full HD and curved LCD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and have features like HTC proprietary BoomSound stereo speakers. It is expected to be powered by a 64-bit version of its Snapdragon 800-series chipset with 3GB RAM and run on Android 4.5 Lollypop. It may also come in three storage variants - 32GB/64GB/128GB - and have connectivity such as Bluetooth, NFC, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi and 4G.
