Vishal will be teaming up with director Hari for the second time, after their 2007-release "Thamirabarani." Their new film titled "Poojai" is all set to go on floors on 18 April. Shruti Haasan will be playing the female lead opposite Vishal in the film, whereas other cast members include Sathyaraj, Radhika, Soori, Sitara and Kousalya.

The film, touted to be an action entertainer, will be produced by Vishal Film Factory. It will be Vishal's third production venture after "Pandiya Nadu" and "Naan Sigappu Manithan." Director Hari is known to complete his films on a fast track mode and "Poojai" is also expected to be wrapped up quickly.

In a recent interview, Vishal has revealed that the Hari directorial will hit screens for Diwali this year. If "Poojai" indeed hits the screens during the festival period, then it will be clashing with Vijay's "Kaththi," which is also slated to hit the screens on the same day.

Recently, "Kaththi" producer confirmed that the film's shooting will be wrapped up in August, and the Vijay starrer will be hitting theatres as a Diwali treat for his fans. Now, Vishal's "Poojai" is also joining the Diwali race along with "Kaththi."

It may be recalled that Vishal's 2013-release "Pandiya Nadu" released during Diwali. The film clashed with Ajith's "Arrambam," but still managed to perform well at the box office. It will be interesting to see the clash between Vishal and Vijay during this year's Diwali festival.
