Diablo 3 Patch 2.0.4 Released, Brings Changes in Different Aspects of Classes

Blizzard Entertainment's action RPG video game Diablo 3 gets the large patch 2.0.4, bringing changes in various elements of classes and other aspects related to the game.

The patch brings fixes to the bugs and updates, including general, classes, crafting, items, monsters, quests and UI.

The game was originally released for PC and Mac on 15 May 2012, and later for the consoles. The game has six character classes as options, who are given the task of defeating the Lord of Terror, Diablo.

The General update now has a heightened survivability of pets which are summoned by the following items and skills (battle.net):

  • Skycutter
  • Maximus
  • The Gidbinn
  • Genzaniku
  • Litany of the Undaunted
  • Call of the Ancients
  • Falling Sword - Rise Brothers

In order to reduce clicking by accident, there have been adjustments made in the placement of Nephalem Rift Obelisk, Orek and Kadala. The Collision in Blacksmith's Belongings box in Act I has been removed. For players to have better guidance, Toughness, DPS and Healing statistics are guideline stats. There has been addition of new Paragon Portraits.

Classes -

Barbarian

There will be an increase in base damage from weapons for active skills like Bash (170 percent to 215 percent), Frenzy (120 percent to 155 percent), Weapon Throw (150 percent to 185 percent) others that see an increase are Skill Rune - Clobber, Skill Rune - Onslaught, Skill Rune - Mighty Throw, Skill Rune - Throwing Hammer.

Crusader

These classes will take 15 percent less damage from all the sources. An issue with Sill Rune - Rally that was not allowing the reduction of the cooldown of Condemn is fixed. Skill Rune - Burning Wrath radius has been increased from 5 to 8 yards and its damage pool from 95 percent to 150 percent.

Also, a bug with Skill Rune - Icebound Hammer has been fixed, now the Hammer will not go away when exploding.

There is also increase in the skill damage of Blessed Shield from 280 percent to 340 percent. Skill Rune - Combust's damage is increased from 105 percent to 270 percent and Skill Rune - Shattering Throw's 50 percent to 333 percent.

Also Fist of Heavens' skill's impact damage and bolt damage is increased to 340 percent. Others that have seen an increase are Skill Rune - Divine Well, Skill Rune - Fissure, Skill Rune - Burst.

Skill Rune - Hammer of Pursuit damage increased by 300 percent. Others that have seen an increase in damage are Skill Rune - Bowmen, Skill Rune - Bodyguard, Skill Rune - Shield Charge, Skill Rune - Stampede, Punish, Skill Rune - Retaliate, Skill Rune - Pound, Skill Rune - Draw and Quarter,

Shield Bash gets increase in base skill damage.Steed Charge has seen reduction in base skill.

Demon Hunter

Evasive Fire gets base middle shot damage increased by 200 percent and base side shot damage increased by 100 percent. Skill Rune - Covering Fire increases the damage of side shots by 200 percent and the range by 80 percent.

Hungering Arrow's base damage is increased to 155 percent and Skill Rune - Guardian Turret gets damage reduction.

Witch Doctor

Poison Dart has base skill damage to 185 percent + 40 percent; Skill Rune - Splinters damage is increased to 105 percent, Skill Rune - Flaming Dart to 425 percent and Skill Rune - Snake to the Face to 33 percent -35 percent.

Corpse Spiders's base skill damage is increased to 324 percent. Skill Rune - Leaping Spiders damage increased to 383 percent, Skill Rune - Pyrogeist to 880 percent and Haunt's base skill damage to 4000 percent over 12 seconds

Wizard

Bugs have been fixed for Frozen Orb, Arcane Dynamo and Prodigy. Skill Rune - Surge of Power gets reduced proc scalar to 0.166. Teleport rang is increased to 50 yards

Adventure Mode

Nephalem Rifts

  • Nephalem Obelisks now have a short cast time before they activate
  • Adjusted the potential layouts for Sewer and Aqueduct style dungeons to include more randomized options

Crafting

 There is no requirement of require Flawless Royal gems at Level 70 crafted sets instead, there are the Marquise gems. There is increase in drop rate of unique Legendary crafting materials. Now there is no requirement to have Death's Breaths for level 61-70 Rare crafting recipes. Also a bug fix has been added to give the right amount of Block Value.

Items

The update has improved the treasure form Resplendent Chests. Malthael will drop Reaper's Fear Legendary crafting material regularly than before. A bug fix has been effected for Gloves of Worship that gave 60 minute buffs for Empowered or Fleeting Shrines.

Monsters

There has been a reduction of the damage from ghosts with the Soul Siphon ability. There has been a reduction from 8 to 6 seconds the effect of Poison Enchanted and the maximum number has been cut to 3 per cast.

Quests

  • The Crazy Climber event now requires players to kill the monsters spawned during the event to complete
  • The Jar of Souls event now spawns additional monsters in Torment I and higher
  • The Matriarch's Bones event now spawns additional monsters in Torment I and higher
  • In Campaign Mode, Manglemaw now only drops loot and gives XP before the player progresses to the Chancellor's Tomb quest

UI

Hotfixes brought in by the update (Battle.net Forum):

General

  • Kadala's Legendary drop rate has been increased.
  • Unique Monsters now use the same loot table as Champions.
  • The bonus Legendary drop rate for Nephalem Rifts has been increased from 25 percent to 100 percent
  • The number of chests that spawn across Sanctuary has been reduced.
  • The Unique Ebenezer Samuel no longer spawns 100 percent of the time on higher difficulties.
  • The following change from the Patch Notes has been reverted: In Campaign Mode, Manglemaw now only drops loot and gives XP before the player progresses to the Chancellor's Tomb quest

Items

  • Follower relics should now roll the appropriate stats for that follower.
  • The following items had game-breaking bugs associated with them that are now resolved. They can once again drop in-game: Moonlight Ward, Hexing Pants of Mr. Yan, The Slanderer and Little Rogue.
