Returning from an 18-year breakup with the World Wrestling Entertainment, Jim Hellwig or WWE's very own Ultimate Warrior passed away Tuesday night, according to reports.

The demise of the Ultimate Warrior just days after his induction to WWE Hall of Fame has come as a shocker to the wrestling industry. Triple H was the first to break the news as he tweeted: "Saddened to announce the passing of the Ultimate Warrior. Icon and friend. My sympathy to his wife Dana and his daughters"

His tweet was followed by Stephanie McMahon's, WWE chief brand officer. "#RIPUltimateWarrior Your strength of character is to be admired. There will never be anyone like you. Your spirit lives on in your family," Stephanie's tweet read.

There were more tweets to follow and more condolences to come. "WWE is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most iconic WWE Superstars ever, The Ultimate Warrior," WWE said in a statement on its website.

The Ultimate Warrior made his debut in 1987 and took the world by storm. His WWE championship that came in WrestleMania VI defeating the Hulk is still one of the most cherished by fans. He was 54 with wife Dana and two daughters.

Hellwig collapsed outside a hotel in Arizona while walking with his wife on Tuesday night. He was taken to a hospital nearby and pronounced dead, according to reports by TMZ.

Hulk Hogan, the greatest rival of the man, himself tweeted after the Warrior's death. "RIP WARRIOR. only love. HH," read a crisp tweet.

Dwayne Johnson, better known as the Rock also had a few words of respect for the legend. "Loss always has a way of reminding us to live and love as greatly as we can. My prayers and strength to his family. RIP Ultimate Warrior," the Rock tweeted.

Only on Monday night in his public appearance on RAW, the Ultimate Warrior made an ultimate announcement.

"I am Ultimate Warrior, you are the Ultimate Warrior fans and the spirit of the Ultimate Warrior will run forever."

Forever.
