A photo from the sets of Anurag Kashyap-directed "Bombay Velvet" has been leaked online, revealing Ranbir Kapoor's look in the film.

The actor's look in the film was a closely guarded secret till now. In the photo, Kapoor is seen with a wavy hairdo, clean-shaven and sporting a greyish blue waistcoat. The actor looks quite engrossed in the shot and seemed clearly unaware of the paparazzi.

The photo was taken in Mumbai's RK Studios, where the actor was dressing up for the film's photo shoot.

"Bombay Velvet", which will have Kapoor romancing Anushka Sharma, has the actor playing the character of Johnny Balraj, a street fighter-turned-tycoon. Sharma is reportedly playing the character of a jazz singer.

The "Barfi!" actor is said to have worked hard to achieve the perfect physique for the fighter look and even maintained a strict diet. The actor's personal cook and trainer had accompanied him during the "Bombay Velvet" shoot in Sri Lanka, where a massive set was created for the film.

The film has been set for a Christmas release this year and will also have Karan Johar playing an important role. The filmmaker's first significant onscreen role since "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995) will have him portraying a grey character. Raveena Tandon, Kay Kay Menon and Siddharth Basu will also feature in supporting roles.

"Bombay Velvet", based on Gyan Prakash's book "Mumbai Fables", is a period drama set between1950 to 1970 and will revolve round the city of Mumbai, before it achieved the metropolis status.
