"American Horror Story" Season 4, sub-titled "Freak Show," will be the final season for the veteran actress, Jessica Lange. In her last appearance for FX's hit horror anthology series, Lange will be seen portraying the role of a manager of one of the last freak shows in the U.S.

Ryan Murphy had said in an interview that Lange's character will be like Marlene Dietrich, a German actress and singer, and that the actress has been working on her German accent.  Last year, Lange had said that she will be quitting "American Horror Story" after season four.

Angela Bassett said to E! Online that Lange's character has "rescued all these different individuals. It's the end of that era, of the freak show, and we'll do anything to keep our business going."

Bassett, however, did not spill details about her role in the upcoming season, saying that she does not know what role she is playing. She said, "I don't know if I'll be a Siamese twin or a bearded lady!"

In addition to Lange and Bassett, the actors who are set to star in the upcoming season are Jessica Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Gabourey Sidibe, Roberts, O'Hare, Jamie Brewer and Frances Conroy. Murphy had indicated that some actors from season one and season two are likely to get cast in season 4.

Recently at the PaleyFest, the "American Horror Story" team announced that Michael Chiklis has been roped in star in "American Horror Story: Freak Show." Murphy has said that Chiklis' character will be the ex-husband of Kathy Bates' character and the father of Evan Peters' character. According to E! Online's speculation, Lange's character is likely be the mother of Peters' character.

The freak show will be set in Jupiter, Florida in the year 1950. The filming, however, will again take place in New Orleans. "American Horror Story-Coven" was set and filmed in New Orleans. "The Freak Show" of "American Horror Story" Season 4 is expected to premiere sometime in October 2014.
