Angelina Jolie has played a lot of pretty bad a** roles. She's been Lara Croft in "Tomb Raider," a Russian spy in "Salt," and now is playing the role of one of Disney's most evil villain, Maleficent.

Maleficent was formed in the 1959 Disney Classic, "Sleeping Beauty," the tale of a princess who was cursed by a dark fairy, who was said to not have been invited to the Christening of the princess, Aurora. Maleficent was said to have put the curse on the princess, which goes like "on her sixteenth birthday the princess shall prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die," this was her gift to the princess but the blue fairy who hadn't given her wish yet countered the curse by saying that the princess would prick her finger but not die only to sleep until true love's kiss would awaken her.

The new trailer of Disney's "Maleficent" casts light on the dark past of one of the coolest villains Disney has ever created and who else to better play the role then Angelina Jolie herself.

The movie, "Maleficent" tells the story of why Maleficent had turned bad and how she and the princess Aurora had often times met on various occasions.

Angelina Jolie also stars alongside her daughter in the movie. Jolie certainly has a knack for playing the role as she looks completely superb in the trailer. Fans of the actress surely can't wait for it to be released.

"Maleficent" will be released May 30 with the poster tagline stating: "Evil isn't born, it is made." It's time fans get to see the story of the dark fairy from which every child has been afraid of. The film will no doubt give fans more reasons to be awed and afraid of Maleficent.
