The New England Patriots has reportedly signed Darrelle Revis from Tampa Bay Buccaneers, just a day after trading Aqib Talib to the Denver Broncos.

Revis, who many consider as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, has signed a $12 million one-year contract with the Patriots, just hours after he was released from his former team, according to several media reports. Tampa Bay has in return signed former Titans cornerback Alterraun Verner.

The last few days has seen a flurry of transactions with NFL teams exchanging players. The Broncos has signed Talib, safety TJ Ward and DeMarcus Ware. Talib has signed a six-year $57 million deal with the Broncos, while Ware of the Cowboys has signed a three-year $30 million contract, a source told ESPN.

"[Ware and Talib] are two great players," Ward told ESPN on Wednesday. "I know what they do on the field. I know those are two players I admire. We'll work well together."

"We all have those leadership qualities and we can all help this team, this defense progress in that area," Ward added. "Just experience, leadership, physical qualities - [I] think we've seen with Seattle last year that definitely defense wins championships."

The new signings will boost the Broncos' chances of avenging the loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl last month. Peyton Manning has been retained in what could be his final season with the Broncos, and the signing of a few big names may make the team stronger.

The Buccaneers will also have a completely different look, despite trading Revis to the Patriots. They have signed Titans' Verner and Josh McCown from the Chicago Bears. It is also reported that Anthony Collins, Emmanuel Sanders and Ted Ginn will visit Buccaneers.
