Alex Vause, one of the most popular characters of "Orange is the New Black," features in the first look official photos released by Netflix. The smiling face of Alex Vause is likely to assure the fans that she is returning for real.  As reportedly previously, Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause, lesbian inmate and ex-girlfriend of Piper Chapman, has not signed-on as series regular for Season 2. She will be seen in most of the Season 2, but not in all the episodes.

Alex Vause can be seen smiling with Piper Chapman in one of the photos. The look and the clothes -- not in their prison jumpsuits -- of the two ladies allude to it being part of a flashback scene. [CHECK Out the Photos Here] One of the photos features just Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and this time she is in her prison wear.  Another still image indicates a face-off between Red (Kate Mulgrew) and the new character, Vee (Lorraine Toussaint). The Mock Job Fair photo features the prison ladies in smart, business attires. This photo features Danielle Brooks, Lin Tucci, Natasha Lyonne, Yael Stone, Jackie Cruz, Emma Myles and Laverne Cox.

Deadline had reported in July 2013 that Lorraine Toussaint is joining "Orange is the New Black" in a "heavily recurring role." According to the report, Vee is a "long-time street tough who ran her own drug business, recruiting children to serve as runners."

"Orange is the New Black" Season 2 has adopted the ensemble approach. The story will not just focus on Piper Chapman, but all the characters' stories will get equal screen-time in the upcoming season.

Taylor Schilling said to PEOPLE: "It's a true ensemble. In season two, we'll see how Piper's story continues, but the show also gets wider and deeper to tell the stories of even more of the women."

Netflix is set to release all the episodes of Season 2 on June 06, 2014. The new season promises to be richer and compelling compared to the first season. Also, it is expected to become more intense.
