Vindhya, who will be seen in her upcoming debut movie "Manada Mareyalli," tried to commit suicide on 4 March. Although it was said that the actress consumed a number of sleeping pills, the latest news is that she took diabetic and blood pressure tablets, according to The New Indian Express.
The incident took place in Vindhya's house, located in Agrahara Dasarahalli, Vijayanagar. The young actress was rushed to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital, Bangalore, by her neighbours as Vindhya's parents, Ramaswamy and ML Nagamma are visually impaired.
The reason for Vindhya's suicide attempt is due to some issues she had with her former boyfriend Manjunath. They recently even went on a vacation to Shimla and Delhi and ended their relationship after they returned to Bangalore.
The 22-year-old actress was depressed because of Manjunath's behaviour. He allegedly released some photos of Vindhya and himself to the media and spread rumours about her, according to Indian Express.
However, the producer of "Manada Mareyalli," Mahesh Gowda, said that Vindhya's issues with her boyfriend were sorted out. He seemed puzzled about why she tried to commit suicide.
"Presently Vindhya is out of danger. From past one year, she was in a relationship with a guy named Manjunath. The duo had few differences in their relationship from past few days, which were sorted out by us recently. Now I have no clue what went wrong," Mahesh told Oneindia.com.
Vindhya's first movie "Manada Mareyalli" also stars "Olave Mandara" fame Srikanth alias Srikki. The film which is directed by Rajiv Nethra, recently launched its audio and it is said that Vindhya was even seen weeping during this event.
