South Africa vs Australia has come to mean a brilliant competition between Mitchell Johnson and Dale Steyn, both of who will be missed at St. George's Park on Sunday when the two teams take on each other for the 1st Twenty20 International match.
Mitchell Johnson has been rested keeping the World T20 schedule in mind. Dale Steyn who is nursing a hamstring strain, on the other hand, could be back for the 3rd T20I. Kyle Abbott, who is not a part of the World T20 squad will fill in Steyn's place, while Wayne Parnell and Beuran Hendricks (after having passed fitness tests) are back in the mix for South Africa.
With only three players retained from the Test series (Shane Watson, David Warner, Brad Haddin), Aussies will have a fresh look and the Proteas are hoping to have a fresh start.
Faf du Plessis, the South African T20I captain, is looking forward to a fully fit 11 on Sunday as Morne Morkel and Lonwabo Tsotsobe too, are back after injury.
Australia's skipper George Bailey is backing his luck on opener Aaron Finch who has a record score of 156 in T20I against England in 2013.
Albie Morkel comes back after almost an year for the Proteas and Brad Hodge has also joined the Aussies T20I squad. The contest is an interesting mix of experienced and freshers - both teams want to get momentum on their side as World T20 awaits in Bangladesh in a week or so.
