Vijay-Murugadoss team's upcoming film is all set to hit the screens around Diwali 2014.

The production of the untitled film (tentatively named as "Vijay 57" by fans) is going on at a brisk pace and the shooting is expected to be completed by July or August.

The film, touted as action entertainer, will reportedly have Vijay in dual roles. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is playing the female lead, while Bengali actor Tota Roy is the baddie. The songs of "Vijay 57" will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Ajith to Team up with Harris Jayaraj for the First Time?

Even though the Ajith-Gautham Menon film is yet to go on floors, the buzz surrounding the actor's next project has started to emerge.

According to sources, Ajith is likely to work with KV Anand after completing Gautham's film, reported Cinemalead.

Also, if all goes well, Ajith will team up with music composer Harris Jeyaraj for the first time. It may be recalled that Harris has composed the songs in all of KV Anand's previous films. He is also working with the director in his upcoming release "Anegan".

Anand is likely to retain Harris for his next project as well. And if Ajith indeed takes up the project, it will pave way for the first time combination of Ajith and Harris. All these are speculations and an official confirmation is still awaited in this regard.

Simbu-Trisha to Pair up Again

"Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya" (VTV) stars Simbu-Trisha will be teaming up once again for the Selvaraghavan film.

It is well known that Simbu will be working with the "Irandam Ulagam" director after completing his current project with Gautham. Now, we hear that Trisha will be paired opposite Simbu in the film. The two actors' chemistry was one of the highlights of "VTV". Now, they are expected to re-create the same magic in Selvaraghavan film.

Interestingly, music composer Yuvanshankar Raja, who has given chartbuster songs in many of Selva's films, will be joining hands with the director once again.

Director Vijay and Arya to Team up

"Thalaivaa" director Vijay and actor Arya will reportedly work in a new film that is set to go on floors by the end of 2014, according to a report in Behindwoods.

Vijay is currently working in a new film titled "Saivam", which has Nassar, his son Basha and baby Sara in pivotal roles. It is being said that the director has also started working on his next script, which will reportedly have Arya in the lead role. It seems the new project will have GV Prakash as the music composer, while Nirav Shah will also be part of the project.

Details about other cast and crew members are expected to be announced soon.

Simran Denies Being Part of "Drishyam" Remake

For the last few weeks, rumours of Simran doing the "Drishyam" remake in Tamil have been doing the rounds.

But the actress has now played down the speculations. In a press statement, the actress said, "I'm not doing any role in any language in any remake of Drishyam, I shall reveal my professional plans to the media at the appropriate time."

"Drishyam", starring Mohanlal and Meena, was the biggest hit in the Malayalam industry last year. The film will now get remade in Tamil and Telugu languages. While Kamal will reportedly do the Tamil version, Venkatesh will be playing the lead role in the Telugu version, which will have Meena reprising her role from the original.

Meanwhile, for the Tamil version, Simran and Nadiya's names have been doing the rounds. Now that Simran has denied doing the film, Nadiya might be the choice to play the female lead opposite Kamal. However, an official confirmation is still awaited in this regard.
