Having qualified for the 2014 World Cup the hard way, France will look to continue their resurgence when they host Netherlands in an international friendly in Paris.

France had to come through a difficult World Cup playoff against Ukraine, where after the first leg they looked dead and buried, only to fashion a brilliant resurrection in the second leg at home to qualify for the World Cup, which will be held in Brazil starting June.

"I can't recreate the same context but we need to maintain the same spirit and motivation [that we managed against Ukraine]," France manager Didier Deschamps said. "This game is also a chance for the youngsters to shine."

One of the youngsters to be called up is in-form forward Antoine Griezmann, who has been on a tear for Real Sociedad this season, and is seen as a serious possibility to be named in the final squad for the World Cup.

"I am not putting any pressure on myself," Griezmann said. "[The World Cup] is quite far away. I will need to keep working hard for my club and keep up the good statistics. Everybody has given me a warm welcome. This is the most beautiful shirt that you could pull on."

France will be up against Netherlands, who will again go into the World Cup as one of the favourites. Deschamps insisted France cannot be put in the same bracket.

"We cannot pretend to be among the favourites as there are teams who have been performing strongly in the past four or five years," the Frenchman said. "[But] teams fear us because France always had that talent."

Holland will be without Arjen Robben, who pulled out of the squad after picking up a knock in Bayern Munich's win over Schalke. Rafael Van Der Vaart and Michel Vorm will also be missing from the squad, while Deschamps has chosen to not call up the likes of Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy and Eric Abidal.

"Netherlands are among the best teams in the world," Deschamps added. "They are younger but still have experienced players who play for top European clubs.

"We must maintain our form in a prestigious game against the Netherlands, because it will be essential for the games in Brazil."
