Just a few days ago, we saw Samsung unveiling the company's flagship phone Galaxy S5,. Now a new report has surfaced online suggesting that the arch -rival Apple is getting ready for an early launch of its new generation marquee handset iPhone 6 this summer.

Mizuho Securities analyst, Abhey Lamba citing industry sources in Asia and Japan has claimed that Apple's new 2014 handset touted as iPhone 6 is expected to get launched in July, not September as previously rumored.

Apple's supply chain vendors have already begun ramping up their productions, a little earlier compared to previous years, said the analyst in his note to investors, a copy of which is in possession of StreetInsider.

According to the memo, Apple iPhone is said to come in multiple variants with sizes varying between 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch and boast more enhanced Touch-ID finger print sensor to support more applications. New generation iPads, which are slated for launch in the second half of 2014 are also pegged to feature this bio-metric technology.

Earlier in the month, a South Korean Market watch dog, KDB Daewoo Securities released a list of probable features of the upcoming Apple iPhone 6 and its big-screen sibling (touted as iPhablet) to the company's investor clients.

Apple's new iPhone 6 said to be the successor of iPhone 5S will boast a 4.7/4.8-inch full HD display with pixel density of 440 ppi (pixels per inch) and run on Apple's proprietary A8 chipset (64-bit architecture) with a bump in RAM of 2GB, a 8.0-megapixel main camera, 3.2-megapixel snapper on the front and a 1800 mAh battery.

On the other hand Apple iPhablet is said to flaunt a big 5.5-inch retina IGZO display with 510 ppi and rest of the internal specification is said to be same as its smaller standard variant.

In related news, Apple is also pegged to add a couple of new devices in its portfolio with the launch of a smartwatch (iWatch) and a television set in the second half of the year.
