Samsung Tomorrow Samsung’s most awaited smartphone of the year Galaxy S5 may finally see light of the day as the company confirmed to host Unpacked 5 event later this month.
The video, which lasts for 36-seconds, flashes words like “wet,” “alive”, “flip,””focus,” “selfie” “creative,” and “outdoor” along with 30 other adjectives and with the number 5 in the superscript. The video concludes with the words “The next GALAXY.”
Since the release of the trailer, social networking sites have been abuzz with speculation on what features the new Samsung Galaxy S5 will sport. Check out the video below
Many believe that the new device will be waterproof as the video shows a boy on a waterslide with the word “Wet” superimposed on the image. A slow motion camera feature similar to iPhone 5’s Slo-Mo is also one of the other expected features, as the clip has embedded a slow motion footage. A selfie mode and a blur setting can be included in the camera features, according to multiple reports.
Meanwhile, The Inquirer noted that more than one device will be unveiled as the video made a “family” reference. Rumors doing the rounds indicate that Samsung will launch a metal-clad version and a cheaper, plastic model at the Mobile World Congress next week.
However, nothing is yet known about the fingerprint scanner, the presence of which SamMobile confirmed in a report this week.
A fingerprint scanner has been put in place within the device’s home button and users will have to swipe the button vertically with their finger at medium speed, the publication's inside sources revealed.
