Superstar Salman Khan is reportedly unhappy with Deepika Padukone and her busy schedule.

Deepika opted out of the Salman's film, since her calendar was packed with dates for Imitiaz Ali's next, starring Ranbir Kapoor.

Earlier reports suggested that the "Jai Ho" star was eager to pair up with Deepika, with whom he hasn't worked yet, and was heard talking about the same in several interviews.

Despite all the hype, it has now been revealed that Salman did not want Deepika to be cast in the film.  According to a report by Emirates 24/7, Salman felt the role of the female lead in the Sooraj Barjatya film should be played either by newcomer or a senior actress and not any busy actress, thus leaving the door closed for the "Cocktail" heroine.

It appears Deepika's unaccommodating date issues have irked the superstar, leading Salman to suggest an alternative.

While Rajarshi Productions haven't finalised any name for the female lead yet, last heard Sonam Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra were being considered for the part.

Meanwhile, the demand for the 28-year-old beauty refuses to cease. It has now emerged that Ranbir Kapoor wants his ex-flame for yet another film.

Ranbir and Deepika will reunite for Imitiaz Ali's "The Window Seat" after the super successful "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" but the "Besharam" actor went ahead and suggested Deepika's name for an untitled superhero flick.

As per reports, Ranbir made his choice known to his director friend Ayan Mukherjee, who on the other hand wanted to cast lovebirds Katrina and Ranbir together in his film, reported DNA.

Ranbir and Katrina are currently working together in Anurag Basu's "Jagga Jasoos."
