While the truth should have gladdened Aria, the fact that her entire relationship with Ezra was based on a lie is sure to distraught her.

"Ezra is not A, but he is a pretty little liar," executive producer of the show Marlene King told E! News. "So now it's going to be about what his true intentions were. Was he doing this for greed? Did this turn into something else? Was he helping the girls ultimately? You know, time will tell but I think that betrayal is betrayal."

King also pointed out that the major clue that Ezra was never a member of the A-Team lies in the fact that he has never worn the hoodie.

The next challenge for the series is to make the dedicated “Pretty Little Liars” audience like Ezra again after the big reveal. And, their success in redeeming Mona and Paige, has given producers hope that audience wouldn’t write off Ezra completely.

Meanwhile, the actors who play the roles of Aria and Ezra, Lucy Hale and Ian Harding respectively, are happy that the secrets have been revealed.

Harding noted that the latest development has altered the way he perceives his character.

“I like the fact he’s had this skeleton in his closet the whole time,” Harding told Buzzfeed. “So it changes a lot about how I perceive him and how I play him.”

Hale said that Aria’s mental framework is fragile since the big reveal. “She’s confused about how she missed the signs and how she could fall for someone who was hiding a whole other life,” said Hale. “She feels used.”
