LG G Pro 2 Launched – Will it Beat the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z Ultra? Specs Comparison

The LG G Pro 2 has been launched. Will the specs and the new 4k ULTRA HD recording be able to eat into the market share of the highly successful Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z Ultra? Here is a comparison between the devices.

Display and Design

The LG G Pro 2 comes with a 5.9 inch Full HD IPS capacitive touch screen, rendering 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, rendering 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra comes with a 6.4 inch capacitive touch screen, rendering 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.

The LG G Pro 2 comes with 157.9 x 81.9 x 8.3 mm dimensions and weighs 172 grams. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm dimensions and weighs 168 grams. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra comes with 179.4 x 92.2 x 6.5 mm dimensions and weighs 212 grams.

Hardware and Operating System

The LG G Pro 2 is equipped with a 2.26 GHz quad core krait 400 processor and Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset. It comes in 16 GB and 32 GB internal memory variants, which can be expanded by up to 64 GB using a Micro SD card.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005 is equipped with a 2.3 GHz quad core krait 400 processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset. It comes in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB internal memory variants, which can be expanded by up to 64 GB using a Micro SD card.

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is equipped with a 2.2 GHz quad core krait 400 processor and Qualcomm MSM8274 or MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset. It comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can be upgraded to 64 GB using a Micro SD card.

The LG G Pro 2 runs on the Android KitKat operating system whereas the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z Ultra run on the Android Jelly Bean operating system. The LG G Pro 2 and Note 3 have 3 GB of RAM whereas the Sony Xperia Z Ultra has 2 GB of RAM.

Camera

The LG G Pro 2 sports a 13 MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash. The secondary camera on the device is 2.1 MP. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also sports a 13 MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash. The secondary camera on the device is 2 MP. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra sports an 8 Mp primary camera with autofocus and a 2 MP secondary camera.

Battery

The LG G Pro 2 comes with a Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also comes with a Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra comes with a non-removable Li-Ion 3050 mAh battery.
