Her friend and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton confirmed the news after he posted a picture with the star and tweeted: "Me and a very PREGNANT #LilKim at #TheBlonds show. Congrats, boo!!"
After the photo first surfaced in Instagram, fans took to twitter to congratulate the star on her happy news with a torrent of tweets. Kim's friend Tomar Braxton also confirmed the news in a tweet: "Awwwww congrats @LilKim on your little one".
It has not been known who Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Denise Jones, is currently in a relationship with, but the rapper was last linked to 36-year-old boxer Floyd Mayweather. They were still said to be 'dating' until September last year.
The 39-year-old diva claimed to be in love with music producer Scott Storch in 2012 saying that she "would have married him", Daily Mail reported. She had collaborated with the producer for her hit single "Lighters Up." After Kim performed in London in November last year and released a tape featuring cover art for 1995 debut album "Hard Core," she has been relatively quiet on the musical scene.
Rumors of Lil' Kim's pregnancy first began circulating after Clair Sulmers, the editor-in-chief of the style blog Fashion Bomb Daily, posted pictures. "A Pregnant Lil' Kim Attends the Blonds Fall 2011 Show," his headline read.
