Benchmarking results of an alleged Galaxy S5 prototype has been reportedly leaked revealing specifications, just days ahead of the smartphone launch later this month.
The logo of Apple Inc is reflected on the back of a Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone in this photo illustration taken in Beijing June 5, 2013.
Italian website, HDBLOG has posted the screenshots of the Antutu benchmarking results of the alleged Samsung Galaxy S5 prototype. It scored a staggering 35,666 points beating flagship smartphones-Galaxy Note 3, LG G2, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Galaxy Note 2 and S4.
Though the benchmarking score of Galaxy S5 is matter of reckoning, the specifications disclosed in the screenshots, show Samsung phone packing less impressive features to be called a 2014 marquee device. [To view the screenshots, click here]
The listing revealed the Galaxy S5 prototype sporting a full HD (1920x1080p) display, 2.5GHz Snapdragon 800 series CPU, 2GB RAM(1.7GB to be precise),16.0-megapixel main camera. Apart from a bump in camera's pixel count, everything else appears to be similar to its predecessor Galaxy S4 (Advanced-LTE variant). Additionally, even the much talked about finger-print scanner is missing in the list of sensors' section of the benchmarking results, raising suspicions regarding the authenticity of the report.
Past reports had indicated that Samsung Galaxy S5 would flaunt 5.25-inch QHD (aka 2K) 2560x1440p resolutions, finger-print sensors, v4.4.2 KitKat OS, 64-bit Octa-core Exynos 6 CPU/ Snapdragon 805 chipset (depending on the region), 16.0-megapixel (with OIS), 3.2-megapixel front snapper and a 3200 mAh battery. These were concurred by tech enthusiast, Eldar Murtazin, who is credited with accurately predicting the Galaxy S4 and the new Galaxy S5 launch dates.
As of now, there is no saying what features Galaxy S5 will come endowed with and we just have to wait it out for a couple more weeks to know the truth, when Samsung pulls the wraps-off the new phone at the 'Unpacked 5' event on 24 February, Barcelona.
