"My Kitchen Rules" (MKR) Series 5 has some new contestants that people will love to hate. They are Perth contestants Chloe James and Kelly Ramsay from Western Australia (WA). James and Ramsay got cast as the villains this time around. In fact, they have earned the ire of the MKR viewers so much that there are a lot of mean comments about them from several social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and even Instagram.Below are some tweets about well-travelled friends Chloe James and Kelly Ramsay.
Shame, so you can cheat and still get thru. What does that teach people? It's a COOKING show #mkr

According to the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH), some Facebook posts even have comments that say they want the girls to just die. And, on Instagram there are pictures of them with their eyes poked out or hung from a tree. Plus, some people have resorted to name calling, referring to the pair as mean girls and witches among other things.
Apparently, James and Ramsay (Nouveau) cheated in an episode of "My Kitchen Rules" when they used bread and puff pastry bought from the store in their dishes for the Instant Restaurant portion and they didn't even get eliminated or disqualified for doing that. Since it's a cooking show competition, viewers argued that MKR contestants should make things from scratch.
Newly dating couple Andrew Hinge and Emelia Vimalasiri representing the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) ended up getting eliminated on Feb. 4, 2014 instead of Chloe and Kelly.
Kelly and Chloe have reportedly seen these mean comments and pictures from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and are naturally hurt by them. They said that people seem to forget that they have feelings and get affected by the mean things they hear about them. They hope that MKR viewers will change their minds about them as the series progresses.
"We've made lots of friends through the show and hopefully that will shine through," said Kelly in the Sydney Morning Herald report.
A spokesperson from Seven, the network that airs the popular cooking show, said that James and Ramsay have been warned about what they did. With all the backlash from social media sites that happened in the last few days, hopefully the girls learned their lesson and will not resort to such cheats or antics in the future.
