People have been clamouring for former England skipper and Chelsea centre-back John Terry to return to international duties following a string of impressive performances this season under Jose Mourinho.

The 33-year-old has called it quits with the Three Lions in September 2012, after a complaint was lodged against him for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, for which he served a four-match ban.

He was later, however, acquitted from criminal liability. Former England international, Gary Lineker, is one of the persons who noticed Terry's great form and took to twitter his opinions on the matter.

Meanwhile, Three Lions manager Roy Hodgson believes that his squad can manage even without the presence of the high-profile defender.

"John retired a long time ago right at the very start of our qualifying campaign. We have played nine games without him. We have qualified without losing a game," said Hodgson.

"So I think it is time for us to keep moving forward and not every time we lose a game start to turn back and turn back to someone who has been a fantastic player in the past."

Should Terry still be recalled to the England squad? Tell us what you think.
