Michael Muhney bid goodbye to "The Young and the Restless" on 31 January, following sexual harassment allegations leveled against him, but the saga is not over yet as one of his co-stars - Kristoff St. John - has urged the actor to reveal the truth behind his exit.
The 38-year-old, who portrayed the role of Adam Newman in "The Young and the Restless", left the popular CBS soap opera after being hit by a scandal. Some reports claimed that Muhney was fired for allegedly groping actress Hunter King, while some stated he was shown the door because of attitude on the sets.
Muhney's sudden exit from the series has disappointed the fans, who have started targeting the cast and crew of "The Young and the Restless". Now, Kristoff has taken to social networking sites, requesting his co-star to put an end to all rumors by revealing the truth.
"@michaelmuhney Please set the record straight, for those of us that have to take the abuse from the fans. It's hard to watch and read. #Bro," tweeted Kristoff.
"It is absurd and hurtful the way the rumor mill has spun out of control, with uninformed people forming opinions, completely in the dark. Unfortunately, you, the fans, are innocent bystanders. However, many are feeding off of the hysteria of those that are out for blood. Sadly, It is a mob mentality," she posted on her Facebook page.
However, fans may not get to know the truth, as the cast and crew of "The Young and the Restless", including Muhney, Kristoff and Hunter, have been ordered by Sony and CBS to not discuss any details related to the series in the public, according to a report by Radar Online.
