There have been speculations that Walker's character may die or retire in the film but the creative geniuses behind the film have said that they are still deciding on how to go about the franchise post Paul's death.

Paul Walker died in a tragic car crash on Nov. 30 while coming from a charity event in Los Angeles. The sudden passing of the actor had made Universal studio halt the production of film. The production house had released the following statement:

"Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers. At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise."
