The shooting of Vijay's much-awaited film with director AR Murugadoss is all set to commence in February.
Latest buzz doing the rounds is that "Ilayathalapathy" (Vijay is fondly referred by this name) might be doing a dual role in the film, which is touted to be an action entertainer. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.
Expectations for the Vijay-Murugadoss are sky high as the actor-director duo is teaming up for the second time, post the success of 2012 blockbuster flick "Thuppakki." As of now, there are not many details known about the film.
Vijay is confirmed to play the male lead role, but details about the other cast members are yet to be revealed. Earlier, it was reported that Samantha will be playing the female lead but in the recent times, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra's name is doing the rounds. The film's team is yet to announce the female lead and the supporting cast members.
They haven't revealed the film's title as well. Speculations were rife that the film has been named "Vaal" (Sword), but the director has confirmed that his project still remains untitled.
Music composer Anirudh will be working on the sound tracks, whereas Ayngaran International will be producing the film.
The Murugadoss directorial will be Vijay's 57th project in his filmy career. If the reports of Vijay playing a dual role turn out to be true, it will be a double dhamaka for the actor's fans. However, it would not be the first time that actor will appear in double roles as he has done dual characters in films such as "Azhagiya Thamizh Magan" and "Villu" in the past.
Vijay's 58th Film
While the Vijay-Murugadoss film is yet to kick start, buzz about the actor's next film has started to emerge. According to reports, Vijay's 58th film will be directed by Chimbu Devan of "Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi." It will reportedly be a fantasy entertainer and will be a technically brilliant film. The film is expected to go on floors in July this year.
