Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo Tipped to Debut by January End, Not Releasing in UK, US

The past few weeks have seen several snapshots and specification details of Samsung's rumoured mid-range variant of Galaxy Note 3, aka Galaxy Note 3 Neo, getting leaked online. Now, the company has reportedly revealed the region specific launch details ahead of the official announcement of the device.

Technology blog Android Central in contact with Samsung officials have confirmed that Galaxy Note 3 Neo won't be making it to the UK market. Another website, Engadget, spoke to a company executive and said the rumoured phone would skip the US market as well.

Many opine that the mid-range Galaxy Note 3 Neo is a tailor-made device for price-sensitive emerging markets like China and India, where consumers which shy away from buying the expensive Galaxy Note 3. In developed markets, consumers usually go for expensive models rather than a low-cost variant, as they can get their hands on the premium devices via contracts for low down payments with attractive data plans.

The speculated Galaxy Note 3 Neo reportedly sports a 5.5-inch HD super AMOLED screen with pixel density of 265 ppi (pixels per inch). It runs on the new on new Hexa-core CPU with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 64GB).

Word on the street is that Samsung may unveil the Galaxy Note 3 Neo on 27 January.
