Selvakumar will now turn producer with Vijay's new film, which is expected to go on floors by the end of 2014, after the actor completes AR Murugadoss' project. The new film will be jointly produced by Selvakumar and Shibu of Thameen Movies.
"Yes, Thameen movies and I will be jointly producing Vijay's next movie. We are also planning to begin the project after AR Murugadoss's film," Selvakumar told Behindwoods
However, the film's director, cast, crew and other details are yet to be revealed.
Vijay is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film "Jilla", which is set to hit the screens on 10 January. The film, deemed as an action-packed entertainer, is directed by RT Neason.
Ilayathalapathy (Vijay is fondly referred to in this name by fans) is set to begin Murugadoss's film after "Jilla" releases. The duo had worked together last for action thriller "Thuppakki", which turned out to be one of the biggest hits of 2012. Expectations for the new, yet-to-be-titled flick are high as the star actor and the director are teaming up once again.
It is not yet known as to when the Murugadoss film will kick start, and details about the film's cast and crew are still awaited.
Recently, Vijay provided financial aid to some of the producers who had worked with him in the initial stages of his career. He gave a sum of ₹5 lakh each to five of the producers.
Apparently, the actor now wants to boost the career of his PR manager Selvakumar, who has been with him for several years, by agreeing to do a film for him.
