Huawei's Ascend P6 and Samsung's Galaxy S4 are both great devices. But between the two, which is better?

Aesthetics

Ascend P6 has a dimension of 132.7 x 65.5 x 6.2 mm while Galaxy S4 has 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9. The two smartphones are light than most phones with Ascend P6 weighing 120g and Galaxy S4 weighing 130g. You won't notice the 10g difference when put in your pocket.

Both are smooth and slick to the touch. However, Ascend P6 looks a little bit like an iPhone.

Screen and Display

Galaxy S4 has a wider screen of 5 inches while Ascend P6 has a 4.7-inch screen. Samsung's smartphone has a greater resolution of 1, 080 x 1, 920 pixels with a pixel density of 441ppi, in contrast Ascend P6 only has 720 x 1, 280 pixels (312ppi).

Performance

Galaxy S4 is powered with a faster 1.9 GHz quad-core processor while Ascend P6 has 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. Both are sporting 2GB of RAM.

Both smartphones are run by Android Jelly Bean with Ascend P6 planning on an upgrade to KitKat.

Camera

Galaxy S4 has a slightly better camera with a 13MP sensor. Ascend P6 only has an 8 MP camera unit.

A plus to Galaxy S4 is its image stabilization which Ascend P6 does not have.

Battery Life

Galaxy S4 packs a superior 2, 600mAh battery and promises 17 hours of talk time. Ascend P6 has a 2, 000mAh battery with 14.3 hours talk time. Since both are running on quad-core and Android platform, expect Galaxy S4 to last longer.

Price Range

Galaxy S4 is available at a price range of $489-$926 in Australia while Ascend P6 is priced at $370-$479.95.

The Ultimate Decree

With a cheap price, Ascend P6 gives good enough specs for a smartphone. Galaxy S4 is priced for more than a hundred dollar, but its specifications are only slightly better.
