Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd (SMIL) will reportedly launch its Inazuma GW250 street bike in the country on 27 January in Mumbai, according to a report.

IndianAutosBlog, who claims to have got the information from a reliable source, says the much-anticipated Suzuki Inazuma GW250 bike has reached the dealerships in India, and the country will now see the unveiling of the motorcycle on 27 January, in the presence of Suzuki India brand ambassador and Bollywood actor Salman Khan. According to the report, the bike would come with a price tag of ₹3.13 lakh, and the company is likely to offer only one variant for the domestic market.

The dealerships in India have reportedly started accepting bookings for the upcoming bike with an advance payment of ₹10,000. The Suzuki motorcycle packs a 248cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine, which generates a power of 26 bhp and a torque of 24.4 Nm. The bike is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is expected to feature telescopic front forks, digital LCD speedometer and 3-mode rpm (Normal mode, Eco mode and off) indicator.

In India, the bike will be pitted against the KTM Duke 200, Honda CBR250R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Mahindra Mojo. With the launch of the new bike in the sub-continent market, Suzuki hopes to grab a good share in the country's two-wheeler market. Currently Suzuki markets Access 125 and Swish 125 scooters in India.
