Former CY Young Award contender Ubaldo Jimenez is expected to join the New York Yankees, according to rival general managers.
Jimenez spent the past three seasons with the Cleveland Indians. Last season, Jimenez went 13-9 with a 3.30 ERA and 184 strikeouts and 1.33 WHIP.
Rival general managers believed Jimenez's tough personality makes him ideal for the Yankees, who used to play under the spotlight and criticism of their fans.
"He had an excellent second half, has great stuff, and he has the type of personality that would fit New York," one GM said via Real GM. "He doesn't let things get to him. He's good at shrugging off things and turning the page."
With the intention of breaking the international spending record, the Yankees are looking to load up their batting and pitching lineup with All-Star caliber player.
