Serena Williams lost to Victoria Azarenka in the Hua Hin World Tennis Exhibition held in Thailand on Dec 28.
The Hua Hin World Tennis Exhibition is an annual tennis tournament which takes place usually at the beginning of the year. It features a women's single match and then followed by a doubles match.
Azarenka beat Williams in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3, in front of nearly 3,000 fans. Previous winners include Maria Sharapova, Kim Clijsters and Li Na. This is the second time that Azarenka has won a match, following her victory in 2012.
Prior the match on Saturday, the first-ranked and second-ranked players in the world have reportedly modeled in a fashion show event. Williams and Azarenka thrilled their Thai fans as they strutted their stuff in the catwalk. They both wore Thai silk for the said celebrity fashion show. Williams, who is known for her edgy fashion off the tennis court, wore a fancy and elegant gown in bubblegum pink colour, while Azarenka opted for a silver-grey silk gown. Both athletes were all smiles and seemed comfortable as they walked like runway models.

Williams said she was delighted to be able to wear such fabric that isn't really available in the U.S. "It's pretty amazing," she said.

Up to date, Williams and Azarenka have met for a total of 16 times in professional matches, including eight times in the Grand Slams. They are both the greatest in the world. Out of their 16 meetings, Williams has won 13 of it, eight of which are in the Grand Slams. Azarenka, on the other hand, has won three during the finals.
