The year 2013 is no ordinary year. These scandals only prove that this year is never boring and always interesting. These celebrities made headlines, as these scandals spread like wildfire across the World Wide Web. The list includes a list of shocking and downright troubling scandals that made 2013 an unforgettable year.

Julianne Hough Dressed as 'Crazy Eyes'

Dancer-turned-actress Julianne Hough hit the Hollywood Halloween party dressed as "Crazy Eyes" from "Orange is the New Black." Her costume sparked a lot of anger and the actress immediately apologised for the blackface controversy.

"I am a huge fan of the show Orange Is the New black, actress Uzo Aduba, and the character she has created. It certainly was never my intention to be disrespectful or demeaning to anyone in any way. I realize my costume hurt and offended people and I truly apologize," said the "Safe Haven" actress.

Miley Cyrus vs. Sinead O'Connor

It all started with an open letter from a former pop star to a current one, but a letter turned into a Twitter war between the two celebrities. Sinead O'Connor, 46, and Miley Cyrus, 21, started a Twitter war when Cyrus responded to O'Connor's letter by posting a series of old tweets of the Irish singer seeking help for her bipolar disorder. The twerking queen compared O'Connor to Amanda Bynes, who is undergoing psychiatric treatment, and, of course, the singer responded by saying that what Miley did was an "unacceptable form of bullying."

Simon Cowell's Baby Mama is His Friends Wife

Former "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell is expecting his first child from the wife of his friend Andrew Silverman, Lauren. The couple's relationshop had been falling apart for some time, and Cowell seemed to be in the right place at the right time as he stepped in to give Lauren a shoulder to cry on. The Silverman couple are not officially divorced when Lauren was knocked up and Andrew is using his wife's infidelity in a court case against her.

Justin Bieber Pees in Mop Bucket, Curses Bill Clinton

One of Bieber's scandal this year involved a video where he urinates in a mop bucket in a nightclub surrounded by his posse. But that's not all, Justin also sprayed a photo of former President Bill Clinton, saying "F*** Bill Clinton." The young pop star later called the former president to apologise for his lewd and his reckless behaviour.

Paris Jackson Suicide Attempt

The late Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris Jackson, was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after a suicide attempt on the wee hours of June 5. The 15-year-old girl was taken from her home in Calabasas around 2 am after a 911 call of "a possible overdose." Debbie Rowe, Paris' mom, confirmed her daughter's suicide attempt and said that her daughter had "a lot going on."

Cory Monteith Enters Rehab

"Glee" actor Cory Monteith shocked the world and fans when he entered rehab for substance addiction in late March of 2013. The 30-year-old actor apparently chose to better himself by entering rehab voluntarily. According to his rep's statement: "He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery."

Beyonce's National Anthem Lip Sync

Who could have thought that Beyonce would lip sync? Queen Bey garnered a lot of attention after she sang an incredible version of the national anthem during President Obama's inauguration ceremony on Jan 21. The lip sync report began to surface 24 hours after her performance. According to the singer's spokesperson, "it's standard procedure to record a backing track." Beyonce decided to "at the last minute" to use the backing track.

Lance Armstrong Admits Doping

After a decade of denials, Lance Armstrong finally admitted about his illegal doping for him to win all those pro cycling races. He was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey and some speculate that after the public confession he hopes that he will be allowed to race in the future.
