Tributes Pour For Late Keith Mcgowan On Social Media

After the demise of Keith McGowan Dec.22, 2013, friends, fellow Australian television and radio journalists and fans worldwide have used social media to express their messages of condolences to former 3AW radio legend. McGowan died after suffering a stroke during his sleep.

"Sad Xmas news. Keith McGowan ex-3AW died at 11 o'clock tonight. Life support turned off earlier in the day. Thoughts with Angela."

Channel 9 Reporter Tom Steinfort posted on social media that he was "sad to hear" about McGowan's death. "(He) used to keep me company each day on the drive to work at 5 a.m.," he wrote.

Matt Granland SEN presenter referred to McGowan a "true Melbourne radio legend," whereas Greg Irvine racing photographer stated he was "heartbroken" over the sudden bereavement of his "great mate."

"The thousands of people who 'went to bed' with Keith will remember his loving nature and big heart," Irvine posted on  McGowan's Wife Angela in McGowan's Facebook page.

Kate Swifte posted her concern for his wife: "Angela, our love, thoughts, and deepest condolences to you, your family, and Keith's family. Words can't express our sadness. I keep looking at my FB waiting to him comment on one of my posts or photos.... Thinking about you so much and sending so much love. Kate and Nick Swifte."

Liz Sullivan wrote mourning over McGowan;s demise: "Angie, deepest condolences to you and your family. I am shocked by Keith's sudden passing. If your love could have saved him, he would have lived forever. Thinking of you at this sad time. Liz xx"

Jennifer McMahon wrote: "Dear Angela , I am shocked to hear of the passing of your beloved Keith, please accept our sincere condolences to you & your family . R.I.P Keith Jennifer & Chris."
