Oscar winner Kate Winslet had given birth to a healthy baby boy who is 9lbs in weight. The actress was happy to announce to the world that she and her husband Ned RockNRoll finally has a son to follow in either one of their career paths.

While she is an Oscar winner who is married to Ned RockNRoll, it isn't a surprise that they would find an equally unique name for their children-as this is what all rocker parents do, like Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale with their sons Zuma and Kingston.

As reported by the dailymai.co.uk in their article "And the most random celebrity baby name of 2013 award goes to... Kate Winslet! Who named her newborn son 'Bear'" Winslet and her husband had named their son "Bear".

As odd as it may sound, their spokesperson had said that both parents were quite fond of the name. A source as also given a report to the "Sun" saying:

"They are doing well, they both absolutely adore him - and the name Bear." The young son of Kate has already taken her surname and will be known as "Bear Winslet" unlike her other children which surnames are taken from their fathers.

The Oscar winner was said to have thought about naming the child after his father but it would be too much of a name if he were named "Bear RockNroll".

Kate gave birth in Sussex and she and Ned were thrilled by the birth of their baby boy.

It isn't a uncommon thing for celebrities to name their children in unique names. These unusually is the fad in Hollywood nowadays because they want their children to grow up with unique names such as the Jolie-Pitt kids and other celebrity kids.
