Apple users have grown desperate for a new iOS jailbreak since their devices were upgraded to iOS 7 but will the growing fund prize be enough to speed things up? Regardless, the jackpot prize just keeps growing bigger, now closing on $10,000. The grand total continues to climb for the Device Freedom Prize and users now wonder if the developers are just waiting it out to come forward. The longer they hold it, the more the prize grows, the more it becomes a lose-lose situation.
The task of jailbreaking has become increasingly hard over the years because Apple has tightened down the security. However, developers maintain that they are working on it and that they could be close to cracking the code already.
Plenty of people now speculate that the new jailbreak will be release at some point in 2013 but the actual date or month is not certain. Maybe the crowd fund will continue to climb until the prize is so high that the developers won't want to wait it out any longer.
The developers need to make sure they follow the exact rules of the fund otherwise the jailbreak would be invalid and people would need to wait even longer. Indeed, there are plenty of specific rules to qualify.
Twitter proves that users are now desperate for a jailbreak. Apple fans have pleaded time and again for a jailbreak and they have already been hounding at the Evad3rs, the jailbreaking team that's responsible for past iOS jailbreaks free of charge.
What if the developers have the jailbreak ready for launch already but are just waiting for the jackpot prize to grow? It may take a little longer but everyone should see the jailbreak in the first half of 2014. Meanwhile, other teams have already devised highly powerful and effective jailbreak software packages that can be used by techies and newbies alike.
These are paid-for and are available for iPhone 5S, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS with the recent updates of iOS 7.0.4, 7.0.3, 7.0.2 and 7. Users should be aware of the risks of using software from unauthorized sources, especially the newbies who can actually do it themselves with a few simple steps to successfully jailbreak their phones.
