'The Voice' Season 5 Year 2013 Winner: Tessanne Chin VS Will Champlin VS Jacquie Lee - Who is Best Suited to Win the Show?

The top 3 finalists --Tessanne Chin, Will Champlin and Jacquie Lee-of "The Voice" Season 5 (2013) delivered their final performances on Dec. 16, 2013. Based on these performances, the public will vote and decide the next winner of the Emmy winning show. These 3 finalists have beaten 45 participants to reach the finals where they are battling each other to capture the top spot and acquire the most coveted trophy. Besides more than 3 months of hard work, performances, elimination, rehearsals, challenges and more, these artists have worked harder in the battleground of life. Who do you think is praiseworthy of all to wear the crown of the winner at the end of the season? Let's take a look at their journey to "The Voice" Season 5 (2013) finals.

Tessanne Chin

Tessanne Chin is one of the two finalists of Team Adam. She is the first ever Jamaican person to participate in "The Voice" U.S.A. Music runs in her blood as she comes from a family of musicians. Her father who is Chinese and mother who is half Black and half English/African were a part of a band called "Carnations." Her father was a drummer and her mother was trumpeter and singer. Her sister Tami Chynn is also a singer and her cousin is also vocalist.

Tessanne began her musical journey at a very early age and started performing at an age of 6 and developed her expertise in musical genres such as Dancehall, reggae and rock.  She has an album in recorded in her name "In Between Words" and is known for her song "Hideaway." She has toured with topnotch Jamaican artist Jimmy Cliff and was a part of rock band called Mile High. She has a long list of performing in live shows. Some of her noted works also include, Katy Perry's "Firework" and Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved."

She started her journey in "The Voice" Season 5 (2013) with blind auditions performance of the song "Try" by Pink which she sang again in the finale of the show on Dec. 16, 2013. The other two performances of her finale week include: duet performance with Adam Levine of the song "Let It Be" by Beatles and "I Have Nothing" originally sung by Whitney Houston. Her semifinals performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" reached #1 in the iTunes chart. There was never a time when she was in danger of being eliminated during the show.

Will Champlin

Will Champlin is the second finalist from Team Adam Camp. He is the son of legendary musician Bill Champlin. Will graduated from Berklee School of Music in Boston. He has also worked with The Eagles artist Glenn Frey. He is an expert in musical genres such as Rock, pop and R&B.

He started his journey in "The Voice" Season 5 (2013) with the song "Not Over You" by Gavin DeGraw which he sang as the reprise song on the top 3 performance episode on the show. He was first stolen by Coach Christina and then back by Coach Adam. In the other two rounds of the finals round in Week 7 Day 1 of finale, he performed "Tiny Dancer" alongside Adam Levine. In the end, he performed "Everything I Do" by Bryan Adams as a solo performer. Will Champlin figured twice in iTunes chart. He  was at #10 with his semifinals performance of "Carry On" and Week 4 performance of "At Last".  

Jacquie Lee

Jacquie Lee is a teen prodigy from team Christina. She is 16 and has proven her mettle time and again beating 45 other artists in the entire season. She started learning music quite early in life and has performed at many local singing competition and charity events. She is the youngest participant of "The Voice" U.S.

She started her journey on the show with her first performance of "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse which she repeated in reprise song round in "The Voice" Season 5 (2013) Finale. She comes from New Jersey  and has developed her expertise in musical genres such as R&B, soul and folk. She performed "We Remain" in duet round with Coach Christina in the finals round and "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" from Broadway musical "Dreamgirls." She figured first time in iTunes top 10 charts at #7 with her semifinals performance of the song "Angel."

Aforementioned are the top 3 finalists competing for the trophy of "The Voice" Season 5 (2013). Their journey to the finals has been full of challenges and hard work. But who do you think is best suited to win the prestigious show's title, trophy and top spot? "The Voice" Season 5 (2013) winner will be announced on Dec. 17, 2013 on NBC.
