Lamar Odom is ready to end his marriage with Khloe Kardashian long before the reality TV star filed for divorce.
On Friday, Khloe has filed for divorce from Lamar. TMZ reported that she cited "irreconcilable differences" as the main grounds for the separation that she has filed at the Superior Court of California, Los Angeles against the former basketball star.
According to TMZ, Lamar claims that he was the one who ended his four-year marriage with Khloe. A source revealed to the popular gossip Web site that Lamar apparently told his friends that he is done with the reality TV star. "I can't be f*****g with Khloe," said Lamar. He claims that she persuades the "bad side" of him to come out.
Lamar and Khloe's love story didn't really work out as any marriage couple would have hoped for. They wed in 2009, only a month after they met. It has been reported that they both signed a pre-nuptial agreement, which entails keeping their properties separate. Thus, once their divorce is finalised, dividing their properties would not be too much of a burden. In addition, Khloe stated that she does not wish to ask for any spousal support and wants the judge to decline any proposal by the basketball player for support too.
For the past several months, rumours of cheating and drug use had weighed down the pair. These factors could have contributed to Khloe's decision to finally divorce Lamar. However, a source told TMZ that the final straw for Khloe was when Lamar recorded a rap video where he openly talked big about cheating on her.
The 34-year-old basketball player feels he needs to be more focused on his basketball career rather than worry about Khloe now. He is said to be more anxious about getting another shot at the most popular basketball league. On the other hand, Khloe seemed to have rebounded very fast because she has reportedly been rumoured to be dating Matt Kemp. She has not worn her wedding ring since Thanksgiving.
Well, we just hope that everything works out well for Lamar and Khloe.
