4.4.2 KOT49H update brings bug-fixes, improved stability and performance to Galaxy S4 GT-I9505G
Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition GT-I9505G (GPe) has received the latest Android 4.4.2 KOT49H KitKat update following HTC One GPe and LG G Pad 8.3, within a week of the Nexus devices getting the same update from Google. The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update brings no major feature changes, except for common bug-fixes and minor UI tweaks.
Galaxy S4 GT-I9505G can now be updated to Android 4.4.2 KOT49H.S0001.131204 official firmware with a file download of size 57.5MB. Though the update includes several bug-fixes and improvements, it omits the App Ops security app which is needed to manage app permissions.
As XDA Developers notes, the Android 4.4.2 KOT49H update for Galaxy S4 GT-I9505G comes a day after Samsung posted the kernel source and modules to its open source release centre for version ML4. As the update is being rolled out in phases, it may take some time before it is released in your country or region.
