Having lost their last two home English Premier League games at Old Trafford, Manchester United will be relieved to play way from home, when they visit Aston Villa on Sunday.

United are still reeling from that two home losses to Everton and Newcastle, and despite keeping their troubles ensconced into just the Premier League - United beat Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League to top their group - David Moyes will want to get back that winning feeling in the domestic competition.

"It was unheard of for us to lose two games consecutively at Old Trafford," United forward Danny Welbeck told MUTV. "We needed to take a good look at ourselves to then put things right.

"Everyone should take responsibility, it's not just down to one person, it is down to the whole team. We know within ourselves we can't dwell on things too long and make sure we're ready to win three points from the next game.

"This season's been quite unpredictable in the Premier League, but you cannot go into a match just thinking 'we're going to win this or win that,' you have to be mentally prepared and physically conditioned."

Despite Arsenal's loss to Manchester City on Saturday, United still find themselves 13 points behind the leaders and another few dropped points, and it really will be drawing-the-curtains-time on the defence of their Premier League title.

"We've sat down, looked at ourselves and we want just to win the next game," Danny added. "It's not about looking too far ahead and thinking that we want to win the title, I think that is when distractions come into play. You just have to be focused on the next game and winning the three points."

For Villa, 11th on 19 points, it is about bouncing back from a disappointing loss to Fulham last Sunday, with three points at Villa Park set to send them level with their opponents United.

"We will try and do it [get the three points]," Villa manager Paul Lambert said. "I have some really good players, no doubt about it. We have energy and a threat. It's well documented. Everyone knows this.

"If we can play to our maximum, we have a chance. It was a cracking game last time out and a blow to lose. We will look to generate that level of performance again this time."

Team news: Aston Villa: Libor Kozak and Antonio Luna are back in training and could be available on Sunday. But skipper Ron Vlaar is still struggling with a calf problem. Fabian Delph is definitely ruled out through suspension.

Manchester United: As if things were already not bad for Moyes, the manager now has to cope without Robin Van Persie, who has been ruled out for at least four weeks with a thigh injury. Michael Carrick is nearing a return, but is still a couple of weeks away.

Marouane Fellaini, Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic and Chris Smalling are all doubts.

Key men: Aston Villa: Christian Benteke has been off-colour of late and maybe a big game against the reigning champions is the kind of encounter he needs to get back his mojo. Also Gabriel Agbonlahor is likely to give Rafael a torrid time down the Villa left, with his pace and strength.

Manchester United: In Van Persie's absence, the onus, as always, will be on Wayne Rooney, while Ashley Young might also want to have a say against his former club.
