Students are lead out of the school after a gunman left two injured.

Two people have reportedly been injured in a shooting at a Colorado School.

Police have said there is an "active shooter situation" inside Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado.

The sheriff has reported that the suspect may still be inside the school.

A local news channel has reported that two shots were fired.  A fire on the premises has also been reported by the Denver Post.

The school and others in the area have been placed on lockdown. Children were seen being lead out of the school in single file with their arms raised.

The surburban school is said to have over 2,200 students and 70 classrooms.

Arapahoe High School is 8 miles east of Columbine High School where in 1989 two teenage shooters killed 12 classmates and a teacher before killing themselves.
