Galatasaray star Wesley Sneijder has admitted that "you never know" when asked about Manchester United's interest in signing the Dutchman.

The Guardian reported the former Real Madrid playmaker has a £13m release clause in his contract with the Turkish champions and David Moyes is likely to make an approach for his services in January.

Sneijder scored the only goal of the game during Galatasaray's 1-0 victory over Juventus at home and the result has seen the Super Lig club progress to the knock-out stages of the Champions League.

The 29-year-old revealed that he is aware of recent reports linking him with a move to Old Trafford, but insisted that he is happy with his current employers.

"You'll never know, but at this point I'm happy here. Again, I know just as much as you do. I feel very good at Gala, and I'm glad we're through in the Champions League," Goal.com quoted Sneijder as saying.

"I know just as much as you. I don't even read the newspapers, but I've heard about the reports. At the moment it isn't an issue, but every time the transfer window is open, I get linked with all kind of clubs."

"Sometimes it's frustrating, because I have to clarify it with the fans. Here in Turkey, the supporters are very emotional. They have a lot of passion and I don't want to explain things that I don't know about," he added.

United were believed to be interested in signing Sneijder two seasons ago while at Inter Milan. However, the deal did not take shape due to contractual issues and Moyes could make revive the Premier League champions' interest in signing the playmaker.

The former Everton manager had a poor transfer window and the Scot has already revealed that United will be looking to add new faces to their squad in the winter transfer window.

"The club has always thought about strengthening. You do that every transfer window. We will try and make that happen," Moyes explained.

Everton Ribeiro has already expressed his desire to join United in January while the Metro reports that Moyes was in attendance at the Vicente Calderon scouting Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke.
